    Default Dave Whitlock podcast interview

Yup, another one of these threads, lol.

I've been exchanging emails with Dave Whitlock about an interview. We don't have a date yet, but he has accepted my offer with enthusiasm.

Once again, please post any questions you might have that you would like him to answer.

    TT.

As young fly fishers most of us look up to and admire the generation before us and learn our skills from them. I'd like to hear Dave's take on who might have been influential in his fishing career, both as a fisherman-fly tier and artist.

    Thanx

I watched him tie a bass bug pattern on line http://kwsu.org/Offers/FlyTying.aspx and I thought it was really innovative, using the mono as a weed guard, and different colors deer hair - I wonder how he comes up with some of these ideas, i.e. What is the inspiration for these new ideas. Also, I think FF has changed a lot in the last 20 -30 years techology wise. What is the biggest change/improvement in FF he has seen? Just some ideas...

Ask Dave (Who I consider the" Pope of Fly Tying"):
What was the first fly you ever tied?

Ask him about fishing the Menomonee, some of my favorite water that I know he fishes too.

    Pillcaster,

It's been my absolute pleasure! I have really, really enjoyed every minute of it. It does take some time to edit them and get them just right, but it's worth it knowing that you guys and gals are enjoying them. It's a great way for me to repay everyone who helped me out over the years.
