Default Before the Night of the Grizzlies

So, just so you know... before the "night of the grizzlies" cut my trip short, I did have a wonderfully good time.

Here is just a small teaser of what you can find out there. I'll have more as I get through them.

    On the Frying Pan

All these fish were caught on a #20 or #22 mysis shrimp on 6X tippet. The rod was a 9ft 5 wt. Floating line and no stike indicators. The fish there are really spooky.
It truly is worth the trip. We camped at Ruedi Reservior. Very nice spot. The photos below are of just a handful of the fish caught below the reservior. Many others were caught in the lake itself and in the river above the lake.

I'm already planning a return trip next summer.

Nice looking fish there Deb. Looks like you had them figured out. Glad to hear that you're on the mend, and I hope that there are no lasting effects from your unfortunate introduction to Ursus.
    They're just fish, right? Right?

The bear didn't damage the fishing gear, did she?

I am very glad to hear you are doing well.

Well....not directly but inadvertently. A rod was broken when my husband was hurrying to pack up what was left at the camp site.

If it was me that was packing up to leave, I'd of been shaking so bad I'd probably break everything I touched. I'm glad your OK.

Sounds like a good excuse to build another rod when the arm gets a bit better.

I know that if my wife had just been munched on by pretty much anything, I would be in hurry up mode, too. It would be a miracle if anything survived the packing.

If you were down here, we would be fishing tomorrow. I'm pretty sure there are lots of folks on the board who feel the same way. I'm also pretty sure some of those Vets would be happy to help.
