Nice clean tie! I have been meaning to tie up a few wet fly versions of this one, but just haven't gotten to it yet.

    Normand,

Beautiful fly; thank you for posting the pic. Did you lacquer the head?

    Normand,

I think I see one hackle barb out of place. In a word, Stunning. I haven't seen a Queen of the Waters in a long time and you dressed it beautifully.

That'll knock 'em dead out here in the west when the Salmonflies crank up. Well done, sir.

Norm, I was going to say to REE that there must be dirt on screen as all the hackles are perfect, but there was a wing fiber that was slightly askew, but then I saw you beat me to it. You get extra kudos for your critiquing!, The colors combination looks like they were just meant to be. Very nice!!!!

What is really amazing is how the 3 tones from the wing line up with the color changes in the body and tail. I dont think one could do this if the tried to plan it that way!

    That's a beauty, Normand.

The shaft of the gray squirrel has an almost olive look. Is that just the photography effect or is it dyed? I have lots of gray squirrel tails and they don't have that shade.
