Default UPPER COLUMBIA FLYFISHER - Book Review - August 16, 2010

    UPPER COLUMBIA FLYFISHER

When I received this book from Amato Publications I realized that I had never considered the Columbia River as a fly fishing stream. I noted that the author was not writing about the entire Columbia River but the "upper Columbia," or the "Shining Reach."

The Upper Columbia is a phenomenal fishery with huge rainbows. The evening caddis hatch is unbelievable. 7-12 pound Rainbows are the norm and they fight like bandits from the old west. Lots of Walleye too.

It is a BIG river so be careful....but the fishing is fantastic.
