We loaded up Thursday morning the 22nd and headed North for one of our Favorite deep nymphing lakes.
The weather called for 80's for the weekend up there and after the high 90's, that sounded perfect.

We got there around noon and the wind was already starting to pick up. A friend from another forum was already out on the water.

First fish on my line was a 26" long 15" wide Kam...what a rush. Short clip here from Cpierce:

Hook removal:

and release:

Loads of fish were caught with the aid of a secret Chironomid. 30' to 32' of water and fly suspended at 27' or 26'

Natural food of choice for these guys was 1" Blood worms, Orange Scuds, red-brown Chironomids:

OH, and LEECHES!!!!

Looks like the Pontoon has been beached too long!

Sunday evening we just enjoyed the piece and quiet and of course the FULL MOON:
