Nice report and great pictures. I'm with Firefly, amazing looking water.

Seeing as I can't fish it any more, sneak away from the Big M, and head to the Cains if you get there in the fall, down stream of Highway 123 Bridge.. walk down to the island and fish around it..

The only reason I can't fish it is that I am in Alberta, I would be there in a heartbeat if I could..

The biggest advice I can provide is two fold The most important is to save the steep learning curve and go with a seasoned angler and watch intently. I spent Thursday morning watching more than fishing. listening and asking questions when I was unsure of why.

This paid off in droves over the next two morning with landing 3 fish and losing one on my first official trip.

Needless to say a new addict is born and there is no subsitute for experience..

One good tip deserves another...Sneak up through the Crowsnest Pass to a small town called Fernie and fish the elk river up towards Cranbrook from there... Cutthroat trout as big as shoeboxes will love attacking a #16 flashback

    Thanks for the Tip
