MEMORIES?

The Fourth of July week and this is the time when everyone realizes its summer. Finally! We probably all have some terrific memories about the 4th; it's traditionally been a great family time in America. Anywhere you look here in town it's family, grocery carts piles high and stuffed with goodies you probably won't buy again until next 4th of July.

The 1st fish I can recall catching was an 8-9" bass from the farm pond near house.....on a spinning rod and worm. I was 6yrs old. The 1st trout I caught was on a salmon egg and spinning rod on fishing Creek in North-central PA....at Forks with my father in the rain. I got to stay home from school to go with him because his job was rained out. The 1st one hooked itself....the 2nd one I set the hook on. I was 7 and was wearing my 1st set of real hip-boots. The 1st fish I caught on a fly was in that same farm pond....it was a fat little Sunny...on a royal coachman. The 1st trout I caught on a fly....was a Nisqually River smolt in Washington State:^)
