    Thanks much for the link and the photos. I grew up in Berks County, but never fished the Tulpehocken or Cacoosing. Spent a good amount of time there, though. In my parents time, the "Tully" was the swimming hole of choice. I'm going to see if I can't make a trip over that way before the summer's over. Don't know the origin of Tulpehocken, but Cacoosing is the Delaware or Lenape term for an owl. Thanks again for your post.

    Bill,

    Blue Marsh is the origin of the Tulp. It's a tailwater fishery.

    Literal meaning is Lenape (Tulpewikaki), meaniing "land of the turtles"
