Default Deer Hair - two differnt ties

Here are some flies I tied up the other day. I hope to use the mice for night time browns in MI in about a month. The fire tiger bucktail flies I plan on using for the New River smallmouth trip in August.

    What do you think?

the bucktails are excellent. they'll do very nicely for trout, well for most freshwater and salt species.

I can't say about fly fishing but there's a lot of feed lots in Kansas.

They look great. The ears on the mice could be a little more prominent; but then they are intended to catch fish, Not fishermen! Right?

I am hoping they will catch some fish! I am still working on the ears. I have found that cutting out a heart shape works best. If I trimmed up the hair on the heads it might make the ears stick out a little more.

    Thanks everyone!

Jeffro - Yes on the red wire. It gives the flies a little flash and helps balance out the buoyancy of the deer hair.
