    Default popper action metro beach

Went out Tuesday to do a little theropy on the lake. Hit Metro Beach off Lake St Clair and was met with a pretty stiff breeze. I was able to find nice water along the rocks from the beach and began the search. Using a subsurface rabbit srip fly i got into a couple of fish and thought i was doing good. A perch and a couple Largemouth. Got to the end of the rocks to where the waves really began in ernest and thought id walk back using a popper. A green frog colored popper did the trick. 7 fish on the way down under water, 16 on top on the way back. What a blast, overcast drizzly rain and calm surface made for some serious action. TheLM were hitting the popper as soon as it hit the water, no poppin required lol...awesome day!
