I like using a dry and dropper rig for a lot of my fishing. However some of my local water has too much variation in depth for this setup to work well.

One run might be only 18" deep and the next is 48" deep. It's frustrating to have to re-rig every 20 yards of stream. I usually end up using an trying adjustable slip-on strike indicator or give up nymphing and just cast dries.

Has anyone figured out a way to rig a dry and dropper so that you can adjust the depth of the dropper easily? I though some kind of adjustable slip knot might work...
