I went down to Fountain Lakes park this morning for a couple hours of therapy. Got there about 8:00 with my rod already pre-rigged. Threw on my fanny pack and lanyard and I was in business. started out by hooking a fingerling LMB at the first place I stopped. Over the course of the next hour or so I picked up three 6-7" bluegill. That was the south side of the lake which was sheltered from the wind anyway. Fished the other side of the lake on the way back to the truck without a nibble. Pretty god wind blowing into my face all along the north side of the lake.

It had been about a year since the last time that I wet a line and in general I was pretty happy with the mornings results. This was the first time that I fished the big lake next to the highway. I would not say that it is my favorit lake for fishing for panfish but it wasn't a washout either. Guess I just need to learn her secrets.
