I'd suggest that you look back in this section. A couple of months ago one of the female members made a beautiful yellow fiberglass rod.
If the honey color is not good enough, you can paint a rod with Krylon Fusion spray paint.
Steps involved:
1 Scuff the blank with gray Scotch Bright to remove all of the shine.
2 Wipe down with mineral spirits and let dry thoroughly.
3 Follow the directions on the can EXPLICITLY using light coats.
4 Finish off with a couple of coats of clear. Krylon has a clear Fusion paint, too.
5 Let dry for at least 5 days before building on it.
It does work. I have done it with a couple of rods with very good results. The key is to scuff the blank, get it as clean as possible, and follow the directions on the spray can.

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.
Bamboo has a nice natural yellow color.

This is a Lamigas blank.
Trouts don't live in ugly places.
A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.
Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
I've got 2 old school yellow fiberglass blanks kicking around if you are interested. 7 1/2' 2 pc 5 wt. Nice casting and I'd let one go cheap since I know I won't get to it.
The lamiglas blank that Betty shows is also very nice. I've build one of those in the 5 pc configuration.

The blank that Brad found is a great deal for a decent blank. Heck, if I needed another rod, which I don't, I would grab one for that price.
