Thought I would post a pic of this one that I came up with a while back. Paul (Flybinder) came up with the name for it since I told him I got the idea of the band from a Royal Coachman and put it in spider form. It's pretty simple. A little lead wire for weight, red 4-strand floss, black chenille, and legs. The tail and band both from the same piece. I used a size 10 hook 2xl long with a turned down eye. It's really good for panfish, especially the gills and sunfish where I fish at. I typically just let it drift with the current as most dead spiders do.
There is one thing I'm going to change about it and that is the legs. I'm moving them back to the band to make it more spidery. Also I've used olive chenille with green floss and it works just as well as the black and red combo.
