Went over to the Potomac River for an hour to noodle around for some smallmouth and was met with a massive hatch of what looked like Pale Evening Duns (not yellow enough to be sulphurs and too small to be Light Cahills). Can't say that they had every fish in the river looking up but they definitely got their attention; looked to be mostly little smallies but it was pretty cool. Didn't bring my trout boxes with me or I would have tried some PMD patterns that were a pretty close match; as it was they showed no interest in the buggers I was tossing. Made up for the lack of fish by spotting no less than 7 different types of warblers on their annual spring migration - Yellow Throated, Chestnut Sided, Blackpoll, American Redstart, Canada, Magnolia, Yellow. Glad I had my binoculars with me.

Scott
