FINALLY! the winds and rain stopped and gave me a break so I could get out today for a couple of hours. Went out with a hardware buddy in his boat for a little freindly compitition (hardware v. fly rod). It took a little searching but I managed the first fish, a decent sized pike at the mouth of a canal where the water was a little cleaner. Caught it on a nice size green over white fiber streamer and he took it hard. From there moved on to some rocky shoreling where my buddy picked up a rockbass. I downsized to a smaller clouser and managed a smaller largemouth. One more move to a seawall and I pulled up a decent smallie and my buddy got a small largemouth. According to my math it was 3-2 fly rod won. I guarentee I was the only one out there with a floy rod. Did see a HUGE muskie surface 20' from the boat. that was cool
