    Default Idaho Slow to thaw

Had a slow day on 5/7 for some Rainbows. The trout are not in spawning colors yet. Cold water 36 degrees at the inlet, and some ice on the lake. This will be a late opener in Idaho's high Mountain Lakes. Still cold down in 20's in the AM at 5,000' elevation. The snow pack is holding on up high in Western Idaho.

Were only dancing on this earth for a short time, might as well be dancing with trout.

Nice looking fish. It sure is taking it's time to warm up and get that snow pack melting off isn't it.
