The February Dry Fly Swap ran into delays, which set back the March Streamer Swap (which had another delay), so the April Terrestrial Swap will hopefully be completed before the end of May. Now I fully understand why editors, publishers and swapmeisters have a bottle of whiskey stashed in the bottom drawer of their desk... for medicinal purposes only! ~Parnelli

4. Mickey Finn

Thread: Black 6/0
Weight: Lead wire tied on top of the hook shank (Optional)
Body: Flat silver tinsel
Wing: Yellow over red over yellow buck tail, tied sparse.
Rib: Silver oval tinsel or Silver wire
Head: I finished the head with Sally Hansen's Hard as nails to give
it a more finished look. Black lacquer would also do the trick. This
probably makes the fly more durable as well.)
