    I ended up getting the 9' 5wt., and like others have stated, it is buttery smooth. It's a tad faster than my Steffen Brothers glass rod (not a lot though) but it really shines over here on the Deschutes River throwing either a nymph setup or dries because I can punch it through the wind pretty easily (not as easy with the slower glass rod). The finish is a little rough in a couple of spots, but that's never been something I've ever been concerned about since I always buy rods to FISH them, not to look at them...so I've always been most concerned with how a rod fishes and this is definitely a keeper.

    I actually seriously considering getting it in a 3 as well at some point in the near future...
