I've had a couple good days fishing for still water stockers here (near Kansas City). The last few times I've been out it's been too windy for the trout to really hit well. I'm definitely getting better at casting in the wind.

I think the bass have really been good at the lake, too. I usually catch them between the trout takes. Gills are still a bit slow.

For trout, our daily limit is 4, but I suspect there are 1 or 2 of the close-living regulars who are taking more than that. I'm never there long enough to know for certain. I've also seen one guy throwing gravel to entice a strike. Not against the law, but very uncooth IMO.

Looking forward to catching more trout whenever the wind dies down. Good times...
