Looks like it's my turn as host this
month. I thought alot about this one
and I hope my theme suit's everyone.
I hope to make this one fun
with a bit of a challenge. The first swap
I ever participated in was based on the
articles of Al Campbell. I jumped at the
chance to tie some of Al's patterns
because I had been reading his articles
and tying his patterns before I ever
became a member of FAOL. One
thing I realized right away was that even
though a pattern is simple, it can still
be very effective.
So here it is, the rules for this
months swap are simple. No more
than three materials allowed , not
counting your choice of hook and
thread. Hey, some of Al's patterns have
only one, so the fewer the better. There is
no set type of fly, dry, wet, nymph
whatever you would like. No matter if
it's a pattern you read about, saw or
even better yet, something you came up
with on your own, anything goes. The
only limit on this months swap is just a
hook, thread, plus three or less materials
and your imagination.
As always, standard swap rules
apply. Please P.M. me with any questions
or comments. And remember to just
have fun.
