Default Use for Fly Tying Kit Vise

Here are some Pics of a use for a "Junker" Kit Vise, Jean got Me a Sony 330 DSLR and I've started taking an intrest in Photography again after getting "Burned-Out" for over 20 years running a Custom Photo Lab in California Plus doing Wedding's and Commerical Shoots. But anyhoo having to re-learn Not using film is easier in some aspects, but all the "Bell's and Whistles" and remembering what to do when, where, and how is keeping me occupied.
But, enough on that, here is one of My best ideas I think I've had in awhile.

I took one of those "Wonderful" Indian vise's cut the stem down put it in a Drill Press Block I had laying around used a coat hanger for the frame and a chunk of felt for the backdrop.
    Works pretty good too.

Oh Yeah if any body is intrested I have a Nikon "F" with Nikor lenses and a Pentax "K1000(?)SE" with lenses for sale or trade. The Nikon is vintage 1969 the Pentax is Newer 1975

I like that for pictures, I have a back drop built from PVC pipes that I use for filming but may need to make me one of those for photos, especially since I have 5 or so of the old india vises lying around.

    Bill,

Your makin my heart go pitter-pat with that Nikon F. What a workhorse. I used one for many years shooting news photos in both civilian and military roles. I dropped it out of a helicopter about 40 feet in the air. Figured it was shot, and sold it to a newspaper guy from Fayetteville. He used the dang thing for another 10 years with no problems. I did the photojournalism/weddings/commercial thing as well. Sure miss real film, but I too, am making the transition to digital. Good luck with the sale.

    Hi Bill,

I have an old Nikon F that I used in the military starting in '68 then for many years there after. I like the lenses so much I had them converted from non-AI to AI so we could use them on our Nikon/Fugi digital cameras. Welcome back to photography, it can be a lot of fun and provide great memories of fishing trips, family, fishing trips, etc. <G> TIP: If you are just getting started in digital, develop a good file/storeage system BEFORE you discover you need one. It can be a real pain to develop a system after you find out you need one. I like the system built around Light Room but there are other good programs. Take care & ...
