Being retired from a manufacturing management background and knowing the weather issues we have been experiencing in the east I find it very reasonable to believe they shutdown for weather. One has to keep in mind with manufacturing principles of today stressing cost reduction many companies use a just in time supply inventory which if the transportation process takes a hit the manufacturing process is without parts or supplies to produce anything.

Many times I have seen manufacturing facilities shutdown due to weather hundreds of miles away which has disrupted their material flow to the facilities. The weather issues do not have to be at the facility to halt production.

So was it true or false? I have no idea and better yet don't care! I am just happy they remain in business in the USA using American employee's. In this economy that is the bigger picture IMO and I will continue to use T&T products because of this.
