I have a 1950 bamboo fly rod that I have always avoided using for fear of abusing it. It was a gift I received on discharge from the military.
It is a Phillipson POWR PAKT, 8 ft, 4 1/4 oz for a HEH line. It is like new and I do not want to sell it at all but am interested in what it is worth.
Any comments?

Ray: That is a very fine fishable rod. It is a "blue collar rod." Not fancy but very fishable and quite collectable. Phillipson came out of the Granger company.
