THE SECRET
We all are interested in being privy to a secret. There seems to be something within our psyche that draws us to the idea that somewhere there is a secret formula that, if understood, will bring consistent success to the person that possesses the knowledge. It?s that desire that keeps us buying books, searching Internet sites, joining clubs, hiring guides, subscribing to magazines, and all the other activities that we engage in attempting to gain information.
Great article. Now which of the 17 boxes do I give up?

Great insight. We read, study,observe and spend thousands of hours and $ trying to get the upper hand on a creature with an IQ of 6 . We also feel very satisfied when we almost have the secret even for a day.the reecounting of an amazing trip carries us until the next trip where our great insight observational powers and secret flies are to no avail. We just need to try harder next time or buy the next new gizmo.
That is one great piece of writing and I can only pray that other fly fishers discover this "secret" and learn to enjoy what the Creator has given us. That "secret" is what keeps me going back to the stream to witness and observe what I missed on the last trip.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
