    Default Fire arms while fishing

As I was looking in some posts I have noticed that many of you (myself included) carry a pistol while fishing. Now to those who do, I ask what type of bullet you have in them and why? Also what caliber do you use? I personally carry a very small (fits in my hand) .22 loaded with a hollow point and a solid bullet every other one in my clip or my .357 mag with the same, a hollow point and a fmj every other one. Why do I load them like that?... fmj for penetration purposes and a hollow point for expansion. I feel that it gives me a wider range of protection for more situations, but that's just me. I would like to know your thoughts, views, and opinions on this.

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.

.40 S&W 165gr Hydra-Shok. They work very well and make very large holes.

Forgot to mention that during duck season it is a Mossberg 500 with 1 1/8 oz steel 3s at 1550 fps. *S* Quack.

I recommend and carry the Smith and Wesson 642 Airweight 38 cal. There are a bunch of reasons why. Revolver over pistol for malfunction reasons, easy to shoot (3 p’s point, pull, pray). The 642 because it’s light, concealable, no hammer to hang up on pockets be it a vest pocket pant pocket, chest pack on the draw and I don’t have to brandish it or draw it to shoot, meaning I don’t have to pull it out of my pocket to shoot it and can shoot again from the pocket with out malfunction. I like the 38 cal because it is a very reliable round and use Federal Premium 38 special High Velocity (+p) and it is a hydra- shok bullet and if I miss and its has been a while, it is a very loud round and could likely scare the attach to stop and feel or give me more time to point, pull, and pray.
    Thanks Old Man GO IRISH!

Garb Hydroshocks are the only rounds I use in any of my hand guns. The knock down power is amazing
