    Ghost.

Agreed GG, and that would be power Linemen.

A Linemen in the Canadian Army are communication Linemen, they run the Phone/comms lines, hard drinking hard fighting combat comms men and women, good people for Pimply Bumms, loved them all and fought some and drank with lots.

Warm milk and cookies they would love anyway..
As in the Army, I have never had a bad day Fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable days but never a bad one!

Linemen is one of our generic terms in the U.S. It can be the power crew, telephone or cable.

In the U.S. Army we call the types you are talking about "Commo" for Communications Specialist or "R.T.O." Radio/Telephone Operator.

Check out The U.S. Army Signal Corps at this link:

I think you will like that page. I worked with them too. They are absolutely vital to the successful operation of the military. The job they do of establishing, maintaining and co-ordinating all of the assets of the "Net" is amazing. Add in their ability to co-ordinate with the other Armed Forces of the world too. Amazing!

The modern technological era has benefited them greatly.

    Valhalla,
As long as you're out, don't forget the Jack Daniels

It's interesting that we got a good deal less snow than last week, but it's a darn sight more of a problem for being wet and heavy with high winds. The entire city seems shut down today, which come to think of it is kinda nice
