    OPEN LETTER TO OUR READERS

This last week the Ladyfisher posted a question on the FAOL bulletin board that asked a simple question: "What is FAOL worth to you?" For those of you that do not regularly read the posting on the bulletin board the responses have been overwhelming and heartwarming.

Default Thank You for the Open Letter

Thank you for the open letter, explaining the situation with Fly Angler's OnLine, and some of what is going on to ensure this great resource of fly fishing information will remain part of our daily life.

I can fully understand the physical relocation of the magazine to Montana, which seems like a very excellent decision, on everyone part.

I am hoping for a continuation of FAOL, lasting far into the future. I am also hoping of more fly anglers discovering FAOL, and making it their home, as most of those who come to the site already consider it their home already.

PS:: Your letter caused me to in a matter of a few hours, write three articles for FAOL's consideration, with more in the works!

I brag about FAOL to every flyfisher I meet. I'm not going away, and I pray FAOL will never go away either. I totally understand and applaud the move to Livingston. It makes perfect sense.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

"Hopefully we'll get more time to fish"--- sounds good to me.

Montana sounds like a good move. Now you just need a winter place on the Laguna Madre and you'll be all set!

We need to find a sponsor that can hook that up.

Hey, I'm here to say that I'm glad that FAOL is around also, and I am also willing to put my money where my mouth is if it is necessary. A few years ago you had memberships where some of us joined FAOL, and surely that wasn't a lifetime deal. It was nice that we got a little patch, but I'm here to tell you that if it becomes a need I'd be willing to join again to help things out. I know that the economy isn't great for any of us but somehow we've got to scratch each others back and make this thing stand up.

So, if you're having trouble standing... I'm all for helping.

I can't add much to what has already been said except that FAOL is the very best website there is. Thank you for your efforts.

I Think the membership you are referring to is; " Friends of FAOL" . It is still alive and kicking you can find "Friends of FAOL" by going to the Home page and clicking Features on the left hand side of the page. You will see Friends of Faol listed there.
Its not really a membership just a way for appreciative members to donate a few bux to say thanks and to help out a bit. PS you still get that neat little patch.

I proudly wear one on my fishing vest.
For God's sake, Don't Quote me! I'm Probably making this crap up!
