    Default Another bluegill get together?

I had an inquiry about the Kansas bluegill fishin from last year. Does the end of May or the first part of June work? The last one was fun IMO, and we managed to catch a few. Right now I'm thinking of a mini trip that covers a three day weekend or something like that.
I have a dutch oven for this year's trip, and will make some cobbler and keep the coffee going.
Anyone interested in meeting at the strip pits?

Here's the page for our fish-in:

I am in. I love fishing the pitts, and plenty of big bluegills and green sunfish. And always the chance for bass and crappie.

I'd definitely be interested! We need to get Betty down there and show her that bluegills are just as fun as those pretty trouts...

We go to the SE corner to an area called the mined land wildlife area. There are 3 units down there with hundreds of ponds to fish in. In the general area of Pittsburgh. For general info, see the fish-in page with last year's Kansas fish-in. There are a lot of links there, and there are some on this thread, too along with some of last year's pictures.

For those who have been there before, do you have a particular unit that you prefer to fish in and a good spot to set camp? It is all rough camping for the most part, but it's only 13 miles to Columbus, or 22 miles to Pittsburgh for those that prefer hotels. I'm talking about the west mineral units, but any of the units there are 25 miles apart at the farthest. In any case, if you have suggestions, please post them for us, so we can take them into consideration when we plan this one. Thanks.

Sounds like we have enough interest for another fish-in!

I'm planning on having the dutch oven there, and a propane fish fryer, too. We should be able to eat well! Small boats or float tubes can be handy, too, but not required.

Oh Betty.... Zac I will work on her on thursday night. She needs to see the colors of panfish in the pitts.
