There are three ways to complete a project. The right way, the wrong way or the Boss' way. You'd best learn the Boss' way.
greenock,
Ray Bergman's Trout is a classic. I am patiently waiting for Helen Shaw's Flies for Fish and Fishermen to arrive on my doorstep. You can see some examples of flies from Shaw's book at http://www.flyanglersonline.com/arti...es20100201.php .
I must admit that most of my wet fly knowledge comes from Fogg, Wooley, Pritt, Skues and the like.
Dave Hughe's Wet Flies is also a very nice book.

Happiness is wading boots that never have a chance to dry out.
Sylvester Nemes has also written several very excellent books on the subject.

Tight Lines,

"There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home."
Roderick Haig-Brown, "Fisherman's Spring"
Those flies are really nice and buggy looking. Can you post a pattern? In what sizes do you fish them?
What does "Bonk" mean in America? I'm past middle age so I'm not up on that word.
Bruce
Thanks for the suggestions everyone i'll get looking into them.
Sure no problem someone can let me know who to contact?
Do you mean the recipe? Depending on the water and the size of the waves i would fish them in 8/10 or 12. I'll write about it when i do the fly of the week.
