Chartreuse over white for any fish.

    Brown over yellow for trout.

On 'my' lake for smallies, it is brown over yellow, with gold tinsel. Odd because the minnows are silver with a blue/gray back! However Brn over yellow works better than a true imitation. Never caught a trout in a river on one.

Chart. / White is the most common dressing, and for good reason. I also am a big fan of anything with red in it. Check out my bucktail streamers for other favorite color combos of mine. They're very similar to clousers in many respects.

For bluegills - Foxee Red Clouser on a #10 9672 hook. Lead eyes painted red/black

For largemouth bass - Chartruese over white with some flashabou on a #4 3366. Lead eyes not painted.

For smallmouth bass - Brown over orange with copper or rootbear flashabou tied on the same hook as largemouth. Lead eyes painted red/black. I have also tied these on a TMC 200R #6. The bend of the hook along with the weight of the eyes tends to make the fly ride tail up which I think looks like a crawdad in the defensive position.

I have not used Clousers for trout.

    Sorry no pics.
