Good Day Flybyknight,

I've been casting those Betts and Cortland poppers earlier mentioned on an 8 weight Scientific Anglers, 20 buck, Bass Pro special, with total disregard to hook size on straight 12 or 15 lb trilene leaders about 6 to 8 feet long on 8 weight CV2 or White River line (I'm not sure which because I didn't buy it). The rod felt like a pool cue until I got about 30 feet off the reel. I've fished only bass and bream on flyrod all my life and am just now realizing that the Tidewater holds all kinds of flyrod applicable fishing opportunities.
