    Default BIG POCKETS in back

What do you guys keep in the big pockets on the back of your vest? Ill start... a half roll of TP and a self contained rain jacket.

I gave up on carrying TP! Ever tried to use it once it got WET??? I carry paper towels folded and inside a zip lock bag instead. They have "wet strength"....

I haven't worn a vest for about 6 years now. I use a chest pack and take along a daypack that I usually leave on shore which contains drink, food and a rain jacket.

Baby Wipes instead of TP (yes mine is as soft as a baby's) & 2 zip-lock bags (one for "new" and one for "used"). Rain jacket, too.

I rarely use them as my vest stays pretty light. There is usually a bottle of bug dope in one and spare garbage bags in the other.

    Sunscreen/bug spray in one pocket.

The other pocket is used for a variety of items... either a water bottle or my rain jacket depending on the forecast.

One question i have for westerners... where do u find it most comfortable, yet easily accessible to carry bear spray??

Never hit the river without my TP, candy bars and crackers all in zip-lock bags many times my sugar drops and I need a quick pick me up. Now for the TP that would be a quick wipe me up.

    Bears? Give them the fish!

I don't carry bear spray. In better than 45 years of wandering the Colorado and Wyoming high country, I have seen exactly two bears. One digging through my campfire when I was stupid enough to throw garbage in the fire the night before, and the other across the lake from me doing the same thing I was, fishing.

The first one led to a real exciting 30 seconds and set of hearing aids 40 years later. The second one looked at me as if to ask. "Having any luck? Nope, me either."
