Has anyone tried one of these? It is certainly cheaper than a bocagrip.
Thanks,
Rich

I have one from cabelas that is just like the bogagrip design. Have not used the one you posted though. Wont have any advice with that one but the one I purchased wasnt much more than the one you are asking about. I think the 15lb grip I bought was $15.
I use it on saltwater and have no problems with the salt on it. I like it for blues and stripers.
I will see if I can take a picture of it since cabelas doesnt have it on the site.
I don't have one so this is FWIW. Looks like a cross between a boga and a vise grips. I wouldn't use one on trout but it would probably be fine for bass & pike and the like. I like that it floats and the price is right. If you get one, we would like a report.
I have one that I use for bluefish and pike, I've had it maybe 4 years
Like Lotech mentioned they work like vice-grips
The positives are that it was cheap (10 bucks), it floats, and it's light weight so you can carry it on your wader belt or clip it to your vest or stripping basket.
The only negative that I've found is that it can be slightly difficult to open with one hand

The simpler the outfit, the more skill it takes to manage it, and the more pleasure one gets in his achievements.
