To be more patient with the ever growing number of people that take statements, threads and posts out of context. (I resemble that remark).

I need to lose 30 ugly lbs. without cutting off my head.

Nighthawk, remember they are just opinions, they're like butts, everybody has one and some of them stink

    Happy New Year Ya'll!

I'm with you, but make it about 40 lbs.

Even though an opinion might stink, we have no idea what has happened to that person to help them form those opinions.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

    Default starting small...

i hearby resolve to turn off the computer after 5 minutes of word puzzles and go waste time tying flies instead. it's better for my head, my eyes, my small-motor-coordination, my fly boxes, my fishing, and my sense of having gotten something done today.

yeah, yeah, yeah...just one more game, okay?
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.

    Kevin,

You're getting deep there on me. I don't try to analyze people unless I know more than is one the surface. I just try to respect everyone's right to be wrong on a subject.

I resolve to continue to drop large rocks in the placid pools of BB threads, where self-righteousness and balderdash doth live, so that new anglers seeking knowledge are enlightened, such that they use actual facts and the experiences of all who have gone before them, and not just those with corporate sponsorship or who have good agents, to make up their own minds and do not unquestioningly believe the marketing, mythology, and mumbo-jumbo of this sport.

I'd like to drop about 25lbs myself.

I also want to spend more time on the water this year, stream and boat.

I seldom make them, but this year I have made 2...
    1) Pay off all my bills so I can partially retire in 2011
    2) Loose down to 170 lbs...that means 40 lbs go bye-bye

I am going to sort through and put up for sale some of my fly-fishing/ tying books as member softhackler had done last year.

I need to clear up some shelf space for more..

If anyone is interested pm me for a list as this may get me off my duff
to really do it... I have some real good ones...
