Here's a quote from someone...

"If I was born in 1970, I wouldn't say that I was born in the 60s.

Decade = 1960-69, 1970-79, etc...."

Decade then, by redefinition, could also be 1972-1981, the time an aquaintance spent getting his bachelors degree, for instance...
(He said that the school had tenured professors, why not a ten-yeared student as well?)

Now isn't this just dandy! Not only do we not know what year we're in, there is also no accurate way to keep up with time. We have six clocks in our house, one in each of our cars, plus our cell phones and computers. And, I just discovered a clock in our thermostat! All I can say is that the computer and cell phones all have the same time. I'm assuming this is the right time, since none of the other clocks are anywhere close to being synchronized. Fortunately I don't wear a watch, which has allowed me 66 years of ulcerless living! I frankly could care less what time it is, and as far as the calendars go, just put a pretty picture on it. JGW
