    Default Super Bowl Swap, 2010

Super Bowl Swap SWAP IS FULL

This one's in honor of this year's Super Bowl Teams.

Any style and size of fly goes as long as it includes a team color of either/both the teams playing in the Super Bowl. Once we know who they are, I'll post their official team colors to this thread. Choose any or all of these colors for your flies. It's ok to use other colors in addition to these as long as your flies have one of the above colors included. It's ok to tie something that someone else is tying. Limit will be 12 tiers, including me. Create 12 of the same fly and send them in with toe tags, Large Enough crush-proof container, self-addressed envelope with return postage. YOU MUST BE ON TIME with your flies. If you send them in after the deadline, they'll be returned to you unopened and the rest of us will be bummed. Remember to send a box that's big enough for all sorts of flies. If last time is any indication, there could be some clousers and other saltwater types in the swap.

Bonus points to anyone who actually ties their flies while watching the game.

To sign up, it's first come, first served. All levels of tying experience welcome.

    Sign up by: January 30th.

Flies due to me by: February 28th.

I'm game! Hopefully, two of the colors will be green and gold! Fly to be decided after we know who is going to the big game...

Any extra points for tying flies INSTEAD of watching the game?

I am the only non-football fanatic in a house that will likely have close to 25 people here to watch whatever that game is. It will likely be on every TV in the house. Avoiding the game will be hard enough, but can I tie flies while hiding under the stairs to get away from it? THAT would be my challenge!

Trout Geek, I'm sorry about the green and gold but there is no way the Oregon Ducks are playing in the Superbowl. After the Rose Bowl this week they have a short vacation before figuring out how to dominate the PAC 10 next year.

... as a fan of the Big Ten's Badgers, all I have to say is -- "Go Ducks!!!". As the saying goes, my two favorite (college) teams are the Badgers and anybody who plays the Buckeyes.

Kind of like the other saying -- my three favorite (pro) teams are the Packers, anybody who plays the Vikings, and anybody who plays the Bears. When the Bears play the Vikings, I have to root for the Bears...
