I guess I should start by saying that I have been lurking for the past few months and decided to make the plunge today. I've been fishing for most of my 48 years and was introduced to fly fishing last summer by my brother. I have to say that I'm addicted now. Surfing the net one day I came across this site and was impressed by the qaulity and content it has. Reading all the aticles and browsing Al's fly tying instruction I decided to start tying my own flies. Anytime I have had a question I've been able to find the answer on this site or here in the forums. Thanks to everyone who posts here and the administaters for this great place!

I almost fogot, I ordered my first flyrod blank today, going to try my hand at building my first rod! I guess I got it real bad.

Fair warning!! There is no cure for what you have, but, who cares!! Flyfishing and fly tying is so much fun and one of the most satisfying hobbies to be addicted to. Welcome and post any questions you may have and someone will gladly assist.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it's a real short camping season.
