    December 5th, 2009

    Jack Gartside died at the age of 66. He was a person who shucked all the normal responsibilities of society and instead decide to live his dream!

    John (Jack) C. Gartside was a well known as fly tier, who was renown for thinking outside the box, with his innovative fly patterns. He was aTrout Bum long before the term was ever invented. A person, who with a college education, deciding instead to take odd jobs, heading out to somewhere in the world, answering the Sirens Call!

    Jack decided to live his life as a fisherman, go fly fishing whenever he felt the need to go fly fishing and stand in some far off stream. His passion was to fly fish the rivers and streams all over the world. He was true vagabond, a free spirit, and a King of the Road!
