    Default Bamboo rod

Here's a chance for somebody to get into bamboo for a song - ready to fish refinished, probably South Bend 59, $100 shipped to Conus. It's a 7'6", likes a 5 wt line. Please delete, rod traded.

I see that a pm has been sent to you. Has the rod been sold yet?

    herefishy,

I'm thinking your rod is most probably a Model 51, not 59.
The Model 59 was a 3 piece bass taper for a 7 or 8 weight line.

Are the wraps original or were they originally gold, tipped black?

If it is indeed a Model 51, it's a good rod for the money.

I am going to pass on the rod. Money is just a bit tight right now.

Thanks for the info, Bob, I worked this up a while ago, and thought that was what the Clark's folks intuited. It was wrapped in scarlet.

If original scarlet, then probably a Model 260.
