Exclamation Snow, more snow and wind

Got about 12 inches of snow last night with the wind kicking up about 9 p.m.
Everything is shut down...even Medical Clinics and banks and the wind is increasing as the day goes on. 35 mph sustained winds with gusts to 50, it is blowing so hard it's hard to tell if is still snowing...I think it is. This is suppose to continue well into Thursday. Makes me wonder what I'm doing here...then again only four more months of winter and then it gets nice. I'm going to think about smallmouth fishin' and maybe tie a few flies.

    Hang in there.

Been cold here. 14 yesterday, 17 today. Thats cold for NW WA. I am looking forward to some snow. That would mean things are warming up. Weather man says snow this weekend, rain next week.

    Default Cold here too...

No snow here yet but it was 11f yesterday, 13f today in town but here at the house it was more like 9f and 11f respectively. Looking out the window, i can see that the mighty North Umpqua (the really slow part) is partially frozen still, even though the sun has been out all day and at 230pm. No use me going flyfishing till Friday by the look and feel of things...just too dang cold and yeah...what is January going to be like? Wow..

    Cheers,

forgot to add that it was 17 degree with a wind chill that was below zero...what can I say brain freeze from too much snow removal.

It is what it is. This too shall pass.

    What happened to "global warming"?

When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.

Even we got to about 21 last night.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.
