I was fishing a NE tributary for steelhead yesterday and saw a guy connecting fairly regularly with fish. After a while, I approached him and asked what he was using. "A rabbit stone" was his reply. He showed me a dry one (a dry nymph) and it was, in my opinion, a highly stylized version of a stonefly nymph. Full length black rabbit fir legs and tail, with a reflective abdomen and wingcase top.

Are any of you know anything about this pattern, or have a link to the recipe/photos...whatever. A quick attempt on Google yielded nothing for me.

Thanks!
