    Default Purple hackle and mallard/teal flank?

    Does anyone have some purple hackle and/or some purple mallard or teal flank? I'm trying to make a basic wet fly that's all purple. I've never done any dying of my own stuff, and don't wanna mess it up.
    I'd be game for hen hackle or maybe some partridge. Something for a fly size 8 to 12.

    I have white and dun CDC straight off the duck/goose and mallard flank to trade if anyone is up for that. Let me know!

    Default Purple partridge

    I do have some purple partridge that I just tied a fly with tonight. it is an open package and I have maybe tied 4-6 flies out of it. I would be willing to trade for the CDC...I can take a picture if you want me to...let me know

    Folks might need to know what shade of purple. Is the color you're looking for;
    1. Maroon (closer to red)
    or
    2. Violet (closer to blue)?

    Just tryin' to help.

    Thanks for the responses so far!

    sirhoop- I will send you a message if I don't find something tomorrow. I'm definitely interested! Just gonna see what the local shops have first.

    Z- that gives me an idea.

    Lotech- I'm thinking a bright, Minnesota Vikings type purple. I have some purple Ice Dub I'm gonna use for a body material... That's what I'm kind of matching for now.

    Pinetop Sporting Goods in Pinetop, AZ has a purple hackle. It is a small size hackle like the long narrow stuff. Called Purple Luigi Hackle.....$2.50 per package of a few strands in a package. They call it Purple Luigi Hackle because it is used to tie the Purple Luigi fly....duh. Let me know if you want me to go get it for you. I just bought some and sent it to someone else. I intend to go back and get some for me anyway. I can take a picture and email it to you.
