Wiring thru the dryer
Won't work. The dryer plug is only 3 pole, the generator uses 4.
I looked at it as a possibility when I got my generator right before Hurricane Ike. My neighbor ended up wiring it into the buss bar. Wish I'd have taken a picture while it was still wired up. Oh, well.

Was really tough to get an electrician! ... Finally found one a month later!
And he did it the right way!
Coming out of the house ...
... and into the garage ... 18 yards away

I love it when the only Chinese dude in the factory that knows English, tries to be the one to write the instructions for assembly.
This is off this subject but I used to read in a LOT of Chinese restaurants this item contains "thingly" sauce........................O.....K.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.
