Thanks for the respect in your response. Although we clearly disagree on our world view, I can assure you that my world view is assailed daily AND I believe what you tell me when you say that your view is assailed daily. Why should I not believe that? I assume that you are a reasonably intelligent person who investigates issues for himself and does not necessarily just believe what he is told by the leaders of his chosen political affiliation. All that people like me ask is for the same in return and not to be painted with a broad brush. There are nuts on my side and nuts on yours but there are also solid intellignet people with good moral/ethical values with whom we happen to disagree politically. I believe our country would take large steps forward with a return to civil discourse between dissimilar folks and an abandonment of the current trend toward labels, name calling, quick answers to complex problems, and disrespect.
