Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.
My wife and i own a St. Croix, TFO and Echo rods. We love all three. These are also the only rods we have cast. Having said that "It's in what YOU want!". Go for it; $100-$10,000 rods, i'm happy for you if that rod feels good enough to make you spend your money! Get off this D$%N computer and go fishing!
I understood his point.
Jim
I took him seriously.
Jim
and you doubt I did with a BAMBOO POLE.
The point is, this can be done with ANY stick and string, and fly or hook.
The fact one cost $29. and one cost $800. is up to the person using it.
The cost does not determine who catches more fish and to think that a cheap rod or inexpensive makes you a better fisher, or superior then knock yourself out, cause no one has ever disputed that.
That is not what this post was about but we all knew that is where it would go.
Does that make us predictable? You betcha
"and to think that a cheap rod or inexpensive makes you a better fisher, or superior then knock yourself out"
Who said anything like that?
Jim
go back several pages....maybe not in so many words.
I went back and re-read every word (well except your posts, I assume you wouldn't do what you claim of others) and the closest I can find is the fellow that bought the low end Chinese bamboo and stated he did just as well as the guy who was fishing a Leonard. But he was very careful to state his comments were not related to cost of equipment. You even agreed with him in a later post.
Sorry, I cant find what you are referring to. Could you point it out please?
Jim
