I fish the part of the Cumberland that runs into Lake Cumberland, in Eastern Kentucky. There are huge trout in the tailwaters both at the inlet to the Lake, and the outlet at Wolf Creek Dam.

Access is very limited, but I think that's a goods thing, because it keeps the fishing pressure low. There are good populations of trophy-sized rainbows and browns here.

I usually put in at Burkesville, KY, near the tailwaters.

I know someone who is a guide on the Cumberland, although I have never used him (I have never been on a guided trip in my entire life). His name is Ken Glenn, and his website is http://kenglenntroutguiding.home.att.net/.

I hope this helps.

happy fishing.
Thanks for the info...and YES thats one of the areas and even the town I hunted up. I found a campground very close by to park our RV in.
