One of my favorite trout flies is one I call a "Minnie Midge" - dubbed with our cat's (Minnie) fur.

    Good looking flies!!

OK. Here's my entry. I just had to do it. It is called....the Bird Dog!

I made a cool discovery. Lab hair stacks sort of like elk and deer hair. Neat!!!! And since I treat my dogs with Advantage...this fly will never get fleas........

I would think Lab hair would stack nicely. Looks like it spins fairly well, too.

We have inherited my daughter's Shitz Tsu, as well, but her hair is quite different and I am not sure how I would use it. Kinda long and flowy. If it was as long as it is supposed to be, I might try weaving it. It might make good zonkers, but I don't think my wife and daughter would approve of the process.
