Anti Robot Math ?????

In the user CP I see a heading for "Anti Robot Math"
Some profiles say "20 Years" or something ???
What is that??? .............ModocDan

When you sign up you have to do a math problem it is to keep the spam bots from accessing the board, for some reason they can't do math.

Eric is right on the money. Since adding the anti-robot math our spam-bot registration has dropped 99%. Very seldom do we see a bot anymore. Thanks again RonT.

Wonder how many real people cant get in because of it...

Basically its the same idea as the "image of letters" used on many verfication processes.

Thanks, guys........I've done them little things for other things, logging into sites, and buying stuff.... but, since I don't come from the computer generation, and it's all still a big mystery to me, I just do it and don't ask questions most of the time...........Dan

I am a computer software engineer by trade and a lot computer stuff is a mystery to me too! Heck, my wife is the computer administrator of the house and I have someone that does that for me on the job. People know I work in software development and ask me to help fix their home computer problems. I advise them to get help from folks with the appropriate expertise.
