Some nice looking fish. What patterns were they hitting?

Those are some fine looking fishies. Grow 'em big up in that part of the world. Glad you got back for another go around.
John
P.S. Assume you were up there with Bruce ?? Haven't seen him for a while. Hope he is well.
The fish are always right.
Gary, who sucks now!? Those are some great looking fish and it helps to know where you went since we've been there together before. How did the "Kelly's Silver Killer" fly work?
Good to have you back.
Kelly.

Kelly.

the kelly killers worked great in buskin, i caught several fish on it including some dolly's.
the flies i used where some of my own design i will post later.
the blue swiss mint was another killer fly
purple egg sucking leaches as well
Frickin awesome!
Just got back a few hours ago from two weeks fishing Kodiak. First week was with the Alaska Fly Fishers as part of the annual trip, second week was gravy. We did best on some upriver holes on the American and Russian Rivers. I caught a monster dolly on Sunday from the American. It was an absolute pig.
We caught a lot of silvers averaging 8 pounds... that is 8 pounds AFTER filleting! Was talking to the ADF&G guy in charge of such things the other day and he is considering raising the limit on the Buskin... a lot! The weir went down today at the lake. It bothers me they put it there. It stops the dolly movement and they need to get to where the humpy eggs are for the best gorging for over-wintering and maximum fertility...
Got two days total on saltwater and caught some lingcod and rockfish. Quite a few rockfish on flies...
